Actalent is looking for full-time FPGA Engineer to support our client, onsite in Rochester, NY.

We are hiring for multiple roles, ranging from mid-level to experienced.

Responsibilities:

+ Seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to join our team.

+ The role involves aiding in the development of new solutions and supporting the existing install base of devices.

+ The ideal candidate should have a strong experience in firmware and hardware, with an emphasis on VHDL coding and RTL simulation for verifying digital designs.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ At least 3 years experience within firmware/hardware

+ Proficient with Xilinx

+ Strong knowledge of VHDL coding

+ Circuit design, development, and troubleshooting

+ Embedded Linux (C programming)

+ Data acquisition - converting physical conditions into digital form

+ CAD schematic capture

+ Familiarity of high-speed transceivers used in PCLe or Fiber Optics

+ Knowledge of power supplies
