Description

The Director, HR Business Partner serves in a strategic partner and leadership capacity as a member of the Market leadership team. This role focuses on partnering with business leaders to drive business results and solve business challenges as the human capital expert. Areas of expertise should include, talent development, talent acquisition, compensation strategy, leadership development, employee relations and HR compliance.

This role is responsible for delivering programs and initiatives aligned to the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. The Director, HR Business Partner is responsible for directing and leading a team of HR business partners.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In collaboration with the executive leaders, defines and implements human resource strategies and initiatives that support the company's mission, vision, and values. Provides oversight and direction for all human resources policies and processes and leads all operations including, but not limited to, talent management, employee relations, employee engagement/retention, performance management, workforce planning, organizations design, leadership coaching. Constantly seeks areas of opportunity and ways to elevate human resource policies, processes, and service. Builds and mentors HR business partners. Manages and facilitates the performance management process to drive employee development. Manages and facilitates exit surveys and employee engagement surveys to provide strategic insight around employee retention, engagement, and turnover. Manages employee relations investigations and counsels management and staff as needed. Advises on employee discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. Keeps current on all human resources best practices and communicates strategy with executive leadership team.

•Responsible for maintaining relationships with key external partners and brokers critical to operational success. Monitors and ensures organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Attends meetings and prepares reports as needed. Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 10 years progressively responsible experience in human resources 3 years of experience managing HR staff Solid knowledge of employee relations and performance management processes Well-versed in federal and state employment laws Broad experience in all HR functional areas including benefits, compensation, and talent acquisition Knowledge of principles and techniques associated with training and adult learning

•Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management, organization development or related field preferred

•SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES Ability to manage and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels and external partners. Customer focused, proactive, and results oriented. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office. Advanced time management skills. Experience handling sensitive, confidential organizational information. Must be analytical and detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
