This is a Full-Time position offering flexible shifts under our Weekly Premium Care Pay Program.
Summary:
The PSS (in training) is responsible for the provision of hands on care and services to meet identified resident needs. This includes coordination with other CNA/CRMA/PSS staff, implementation of the interdisciplinary service plan for each resident, reporting changes to resident condition and documenting resident physical ability to perform self-care. The PSS observes, documents, and reports all aspects of resident activities of daily living to ensure appropriate level of care and placement. The PSS works with the assistance of a preceptor/mentor, the direction of the RCC or Quality Care Coordinator and under the supervision and guidance of the RN to maintain the highest levels of physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being in accordance with the resident service plan and current standards of care.

Requirements
Education, Training or Certifications Required:
- Must be 18 years old, PSS certification or recertification within 120 days of hire date.
- One or more years experience in geriatrics. Familiarity with memory loss care.
- BLS within 120 days of hire date, Basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred. Ability for high performance under stressful situations.
- Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and follow through
- Able to stand/work for most of an 8-12 hour shift. Must be able to bend/lift 25 - 55 lbs. (assisting residents in and out of bed, etc.)
- Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, contagious diseases and potential for periods of high stress.
