Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input, maintain, and ensure the correctness of data of standard departmental documents - Power Campus student service system.
  • Assist students and department coordinators with registration, questions, and assistance with forms.
  • Monitor the Registrar and VA emails.
  • Transcript and education verification processing.
  • Maintain records, check data, and prepare standard reports.
  • Maintain records and source documents in an orderly manner for data input and audit purposes.
  • May create correspondence, and data control logs, and may assist with routine clerical work as workload permits.
  • Follow up on specific inquiries and/or collect information from others regarding a project or activity.
  • Responds to requests for information, in person, via e-mail, and over the phone; takes and transmits messages; answers department questions and provides information.
  • Plans and organizes upcoming department events, and information sessions.
  • Organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Registrar's Office by answering telephones, routing telephone calls, ordering office supplies, filing, printing, distributing mail, and responding to general telephone inquiries.


Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs other Records & Registration Office duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:

EDUCATION:
  • Associate degree or equivalent required; and/or equivalent of combined education and experience in the related field.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-4 years of clerical or administrative experience preferred in a college or University setting.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY/SKILLS:
  • Previous Data Entry experience with a typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Effective, accurate, and clear communication with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, reading, phone, and customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of FERPA regulations, with the ability to maintain student confidentiality in compliance with federal FERPA laws.
  • Foster good relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the general community
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel (Advanced word-processing, spreadsheet, and data entry skills)
  • Proficient in using PowerCampus, with the ability to train others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent telephone manners.
  • Extremely detail-oriented; strong organizational skills.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality practices of records and student information.
Compensation:
  • $27.23 per hour - $30.52 per hour
