Position Summary:

The Assistant IT Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily IT operations, working closely with the Director of IT, managing a team of IT Team Members, ensuring uptime of systems, and the availability of IT service delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of resort-specific technology needs. The Assistant Director of IT requires flexibility to support operations demands including weekends, and the capabilities to manage a dynamic special event, and manager on duty when required.

Key Responsibilities: Support the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, applications, and guest technologies. Property management systems, point of sale, Aruba Networks, Corning One, Google Workspace, and various hospitality technologies and applications are in scope. Work with Director to organize work and project priorities. Direct and assist the staff in completing daily tasks to maintain all IT systems at a high level while constantly improving productivity. Lead and manage IT support, network, and systems administration, providing direction, coaching, and performance evaluations. Ensure the smooth operation and security of our IT systems, including Aruba network management, Corning GPON, and Google Workspace. Assist with the completion of daily IT administration and project checklist and tasks. Provide direct guest support and support to function rooms and conference services as required. Develop training materials and in-person training sessions. Partner with other departments to ensure seamless integration of technology across the resort. Manage selection, procurement, health and maintenance of software and hardware. Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware knowledge base for all systems. Maintain, administer, and troubleshoot equipment and software for various resort technologies. Manage multiple projects related to resort technology implementations. Manage inventory, maintenance service, and other equipment demands. Remain current on all industry changes and trends for the IT industry, locally and nationally.

Education, Skills, and Experience 5+ years of relevant hospitality technology experience Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Technical and operational experience with PMS and POS systems preferred. Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Inspired always to lead our brand and team member values. Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines. ? Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. ? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ? Experience with resort technologies and Google Workspace preferred.

Physical Requirements ? Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and/or reach repeatedly. ? Able to safely lift a maximum of 50 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials ? Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
