The Family Stabilization program is designed to work with families that are in need of intensive support around meeting goals related to the safety of the children in the home or strengthening family’s homes in preparation for a child to return home after an out-of-home placement. The program works with families in their homes and the community to reach self-determined goals in a supportive and intensive manner.

Prosperando Juntos is a multidisciplinary school for Spanish speaking residents of Yamhill County. The program of reducing the disparity in access to mental health services by providing targeted outreach and linguistically culturally appropriate services to the Latinx community. High quality services are supported by providing high quality training and supervision to staff and interns delivering this essential service.

The Mental Health Associate supports family

stabilization

by providing mental health services, incorporating evidence-based practices that focus on the strengths of children and families served; maintain required records; work effectively with school and agency staff.

This position can work a flexible schedule so long as they are meeting the needs of families, to include at home, hybrid or in-person work. They will also provide on-call support and is eligible for on-call pay throughout the year, over and above base wages. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess and help family members prioritize barriers and identify strengths to meet the children’s needs for safety, permanence and stability within their homes Utilize therapeutic treatment plans created by client’s counselors of Wrap Around team to direct services Provide in-home services to children, adolescents and families with a flexible schedule. Possess knowledge of dynamics of high-risk families including sexual abuse, physical abuse, trauma and domestic violence Coordinate care with community providers currently working alongside of client and family Refer client to supportive services needed for stability and development of strengths and to supplement treatment Relate effectively with children, adolescents, parents, staff and the community Provide a range of services including parent education, counseling, communication skills, home management, job readiness training, budgeting, and links to networks and community resources for parents Participate in New Solutions Wrap Around Meetings and other community meetings client or family is involved with Provide intervention that is family-focused, culturally relevant, behavior and goal-directed QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure client confidentiality Additional pay provided for bilingual candidates EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Candidates with 3 years of experience working with and/or training in supporting high risk families are encouraged to apply.

Must meet State of Oregon Administrative Rule requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) and possess, or work toward, MHACBO certification as a QMHA.
