Senior Director of Finance

Directs and controls the activities of the Finance, Accounting, Eligibility, Utilization Management, and Contracts departments. Assists the CFO with the planning and management of financial resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides direction, guidance, oversight, and performance management for Finance, Accounting, eligibility, Utilization Management, and Contracts departments
- Ensures policies and procedures comply with regulatory and contractual requirements
- Oversees the preparation of the monthly financial reports for Board of Directors, including investigating unusual items, making necessary adjustments, and notifying senior management of issues and concerns
- Oversees the preparation of reports necessary for contract and grant reporting, such as Expenditure Reporting, Cost Allocation Plan, and Federal and State Grant Award reporting
- Oversees the preparation of reports necessary to invoice funding sources for services provided
- Assists Chief Financial Officer in financial analysis, budget preparation, and contract negotiations
- Reviews and approves draft payroll register prior to submission for processing
- Reviews and approves invoices selected for payment prior to processing payments
- Monitors and manages daily banking activities
- Serves as a primary point of contact and provides information for internal and external monitoring sources including independent auditors, DCF, and other grant awarding organizations
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/Experience
- Other Requirements
Valid Florida driver's license and insurable by agency's current insurance carrier
Must carry personal smart phone with data plan for business communications during and outside business hours
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to meet Organizational Required Competency standards
- Supervisory skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills
- Effective communications skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in FSFN, accounting, spreadsheet, and word processing programs
- Good understanding of 2 CFR section 200 and DCF procurement and monitoring guidelines
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Ability to safely operate motor vehicle

Repetitive motion is also required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
