Mechanical design engineer

job summary:
Join a multi-billion dollar manufacturing organization for a contract role as a mechanical design engineer. This role will be part of the R&D team and will play a pivotal role in the design and development of new and existing products. An ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, performing similar tasks and duties.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Contribute to development of new and existing products and processes

  • Design and develop products from proof of concept through product launch

  • Create and maintain technical drawings for product components and assemblies

  • Create process validation protocols and reports, conduct hands-on testing

  • Develop and maintain documentation for product specific design history

  • Create project schedules
Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD Software, preferably Solidworks

  • Experience with GD&T

  • 2+ years of experience (relevant internships will suffice) in a manufacturing environment

  • Education: Bachelors (required)
