Description:
-Develop and creative practical designs that meet customer expectations
-Initiate application of engineering principles and process understanding
-Lead and coordinate the integration/validation of assigned components/assemblies
-Initiate, define and develop new design concepts
-Direct the modeling of components/ assemblies for machine segments or modules, meeting specifications
-Specify, select and integrate vendor components
-Initiate and produce designs that are manufacturable, demonstrate an appreciation for operations and maintenance, and meet safety standards
-Initiate, present and participate in review of designs
-Coordinate completion of design documentation with minimal errors including part and assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, Specification sheets, Modification kits, and project files
-Understand roles of other functions and provide project support as appropriate
-Contribute to team objectives
-Assume responsibility for designs typically valued at up to $500,000
-Assist in training of less experienced personnel on established methods and facilitate transfer of technical knowledge
Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
5-10 years of experience
