Senior Manager, Supply Chain

Job Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain role will be responsible for executing the supply chain and logistics program for Ironshore's commercial products. The ideal candidate possesses the knowledge, experience, and business acumen to maintain a robust supply chain and is willing to perform both strategic and tactical supply operation activities.

This position will have onsite working days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our Morrisville NC office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Master Supply Plan (MSP) for sourced services, collaborating with CDMO supply chain teams.
  • Manage scheduling of manufacturing and product shipment activities for commercial pharmaceutical products globally.

Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment through Demand Review and S&OP processes, ensuring precise forecasting and optimal inventory coordination.
  • Prepare performance reports (metrics/KPIs) and present them to senior management, as appropriate.

Functional Collaboration:

  • Foster collaborative, strategic relationships with internal and external supplier-customer partners to ensure seamless execution of orders within and outside the firm fence.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing and Quality) to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.

Building Relationships:

  • Partner with CDMO, monitor the supply schedule, adjust the MSP based on forecast changes, identify short- and long-term capacity constraints, and drive continuous forecasting and cycle time improvements.

Management:

  • Maintain a comprehensive Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) serialization program, including execution of track and trace release verifications and product returns serial number verification as required.
  • Approve weekly sales orders and inventories of materials and supplies at 3PL location, including excess, expired, product returns and identify at-risk inventory.

Education, Skills, and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, Operations Management, or related business management concentrations required, MBA a plus.

Skills:

  • Proven record in developing and executing a comprehensive Master Supply Plan (MSP) for sourced services,
  • Experience developing master production schedules, rough cut capacity plans, and resource plans.
  • Ability to convey information clearly and succinctly to various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, vendors, internal teams, and customers.
  • Capability to communicate calmly and effectively during challenges or disruptions to find quick and practical solutions.
  • DSCSA serialization program experience
  • Experience in ERP system and processes (SAP, Oracle etc.)
  • CSCP Certification, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma a plus.
  • DEA-Schedule II process a plus.

Experience:

  • 7 years of direct Supply Planning experience in FDA regulated environment with a minimum of 4 years' experience in CDMO management, production planning and logistics. A combination of applicable experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide recommendations for Sales & Operations Planning (demand and supply) related activities to senior management and leadership team.
