About the Role

As a Recruiter II at Valon Mortgage, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth by providing full-cycle recruiting support across multiple lines of business. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their talent needs, develop and execute tailored recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience from sourcing through to onboarding. In this fast-paced environment, you will leverage your expertise in sourcing top-tier talent, building strong pipelines, and managing a high volume of requisitions. You will be responsible for screening, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the hiring process, all while maintaining a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Your ability to adapt to evolving business needs and scale recruiting efforts quickly will be key to our success.

This role requires a proactive approach to recruitment, with an emphasis on using data-driven insights to continuously improve our hiring processes. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to employer branding initiatives and implement innovative recruitment tools. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about matching exceptional talent with exciting opportunities in a dynamic startup environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers for a variety of roles across the organization.
  • Utilize innovative sourcing strategies, including social media, job boards, networking events, and employee referrals, to build a strong pipeline of diverse candidates.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely communication, feedback, and support.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs, develop job descriptions, and create effective recruitment strategies tailored to each department.
  • Schedule interviews and conduct phone screens, coordinate with interview panels and gather and analyze feedback to make informed hiring decisions.
  • Track and analyze key recruiting metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the recruitment process.
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts by promoting our company culture and values in all recruitment activities.
  • Continuously assess and improve recruiting processes, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all recruitment activities, ensuring a diverse pool of candidates for each role.
  • Ensure all recruiting activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist the larger People team, as necessary, with day-to-day tasks required to support a growing company
Ideal Background:
  • 4-6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within a fast-paced environment in which a high volume of roles and headcount are managed simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's Degree: In Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Familiarity with recruiting for servicing operations roles, within the financial services or preferably mortgage servicing industry.
  • Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), sourcing tools, and recruitment technologies to streamline and optimize the hiring process.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment with a strong focus on scaling recruitment efforts to meet the needs of a growing organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and hiring managers to meet business objectives.
  • Proven track record of identifying and resolving issues within the recruitment process to improve efficiency.
