LOGIN Dietary Cook Deer Meadows Retirement Community (2) DESCRIPTION **Position responsibilities include:**

* Preparing nutritional and appetizing meals including modified consistency and therapeutic diets as prescribed by the attending physician.

* Handling and preparing food in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

* Communicating effectively and professionally with residents, their families, dietary co-workers as well as other department staff.

* Follows safety precautions to ensure residents and staff remain safe from hazards.

* Properly cares for dietary equipment and helps to ensure the department environment is clean and ha

* Being flexible because this position may require rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and other duties as assigned.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

**Applicant qualifications must include:** 1 or more years of work experience as a Cook in a skilled healthcare facility. Proven skills that include communication, a drive for good results, problem solving and conflict management.
