Summary

The Procurement Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing inventory for both store and corporate supplies. Working closely with other internal Buckle stakeholders, this Teammate will independently manage tasks such as reviewing and ordering supplies through various methods while actively seeking opportunities for cost savings to meet financial targets. The Teammate in this role should demonstrate skills such as strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to adapt and reprioritize tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.

•Generate and maintain detailed reports on procurement performance, vendor performance, and expenditure analysis.

•Monitor supply inventory levels, while actively seeking potential vendors to obtain competitive pricing and bids.

•Manage vendor quote process, including requesting quotes from vendors, comparing pricing and terms to identify most suitable option, maintain accurate records of quotes, and maintain records of all vendor communication.

•Complete purchase orders, including drafting, review, and execution of purchase orders in accordance with Buckle's policies and procedures, including coordinating with internal stakeholders to confirm order details, specifications, and delivery requirements.

•Demonstrate strong analytical skills and ability to interpret pricing and cost-saving opportunities when necessary.

•Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate terms and agreements, and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and compliance.

•Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce overall expenses while maintaining quality standards. Identify efficiency opportunities in the procurement process and work with cross-functional teams to streamline and improve processes.

•Ensure Purchase Orders processed, tracked, and received. Monitor use, plan ordering, and execute plans for certain supplies and goods necessary for the Home Office and other locations as assigned. Coordinate with applicable vendor for completion of delivery in such manner that goods/services are delivered in accordance with Buckle's specifications and timing requirements.

•Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with an elevated level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.

•Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain operations, and knowledge of the retail industry and procurement best practices is preferred.
