Overview

Great Dane is looking for a talented, creative, high initiative individual to join our marketing team as a Marketing Intern. As a marketing intern you will assist in all aspects of marketing, communications, research and analysis, publication development, public relations, and special events.

Applicants should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing. Ideal candidates will be energetic, inventive, hardworking, digital-savvy, and brimming with ideas about creative ways to market our products. While assisting with a wide range of projects across multiple teams, interns will gain hands-on experience and training in all aspects of product marketing, while also gaining a good understanding of real-world marketing from a privately-owned business perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns including email, webinar, social media, and advertising
  • Help plan and facilitate the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
  • Participate in the execution of trade shows and special events
  • Support the preparation and delivery of training materials
  • Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
  • Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials, including social media
  • Prepare presentations for both meeting and training needs
  • Assist with development and maintenance of digital asset management system
  • Provide support to social media efforts
  • Maintain tracking report of public relations activity
  • Assist with maintenance of various web sites using a content management platform
  • Support internal and external events with registration forms, accommodations, promotional items, and sharing ideas on possible promotional activities
  • Proofread and edit marketing materials including brochures, blogs, white papers, and more

Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously while working to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results, and continuous improvement
  • Strong creativity and brainstorming skills
  • Skill in coordinating and completing special projects and routine tasks
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Dependability, flexibility, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Power Point and strong presentation design skills
  • Design experience and familiarity with InDesign publishing software (preferred)
  • Knowledge of web and social media platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
