Our client in Daytona is hiring Do you have experiece with Healthcare Records? For this position, you will be processing paper medical charts and converting them into Electronic Medical Records in a timely manner, to be accessed by their healthcare team. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday 8am-4:30pm You must have the technical skills to determine if these charts are completed within the guidelines of the Federal, State and Regulatory guidelines. You will be collecting charts from the units as well as logs and prepare them for transport to the Centralized data imaging office. You will:

  • process loose batch reports
  • ensure all information is completed
  • review and compete missing information
  • Follow up on missing information
  • Medical terminology
  • Excellent professional and written communication
salary: $17 - $17.5 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities
  • Collects the discharged medical records for all nursing units and outpatient or ancillary areas on site at each facility
  • Logs received records on appropriate discharge logs and prepares for transport to Centralized Document Imaging office if needed according to facility protocol
  • Processes and routes loose reports or transferred charts in a timely manner
  • Performs concurrent scanning on nursing units and discharges according to facility protocol
  • Ensures that all supplies are ordered and on hand to perform scanning and validation functions
  • Ensures loose report batches are processed in a timely manner
  • Responsible for DI equipment maintenance and supplies, notifying appropriate leadership team members when supplies are low and need to be reordered
  • Completes all required documentation on batch cover sheets are completed for chart tracking
