Job Description
Top Paying Century City CPABusiness Management Firm is seeking a qualified Tax Accountant to join a team of professionals in an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork. Clients include small business, real estate owners and developers, entertainment individuals and companies, and high net worth individuals. Duties include preparation and review of complex Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate tax returns and managing workflow.Prepare amended Federal and State Income Tax Returns for Individuals and Small Businesses and corporationsPresent completed tax returns to clients to confirm accuracy and full client understandingPrepare annual 1099s for small business clients to provide to their vendorsPrepare Personal Property Tax Returns for small business clients with tangible business assetsReview tax returns prepared by other staff members for accuracyReview client tax notices and correspondence audits and provide recommended next stepsAssist clients with resolving tax notices and correspondence audits by the IRS and other taxing authoritiesWork independently or with Client Service Coordinators to respond to client communications and other service requestsPrepare tax projections to assist clients and their advisors with tax planningUnderstanding clients tax situation and advise clients on the tax consequences of their financial decisionsConsult with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilitiesProvide client education and advice on income tax-related issues Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and 15 days a year PTO. Skills Required
3+ years of recent tax accountant experience working in a CPA firm. Individual, Partnership, Corporate, Trust and Estate tax returns and managing workflow. Must be able to handle approximately 100 returns per year. QuickBooks required
Skills Preferred
10+ years tax accountant experience preferredLacerte tax software is a plus, or experience with any tax software
