APEX EMS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team. As the Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and expertise in medical affairs, ensuring the highest standard of patient care and safety. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional clinical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Provide medical oversight and direction for all clinical aspects of EMS operations, including patient care protocols, medical procedures, and treatment guidelines.

Collaborate with EMS leadership team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.

Review and approve EMS protocols, standing orders, and clinical guidelines, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and industry best practices.

Serve as a medical resource for EMS personnel, providing guidance on complex patient cases, medical interventions, and clinical decision-making.

Conduct regular medical reviews and audits of EMS calls, documentation, and clinical outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure adherence to standards of care.

Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred.

Active, unrestricted medical license in [Illinois/USA] with good standing.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, with significant experience in hospital care.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and make timely, evidence-based clinical decisions.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple EMS locations as needed.
