Job Title: Director of Supportive Services Housing

Employment Status Full Time

Job Summary/Overview: Provide leadership oversight of housing and shelter programs, and related supportive services. Support management to further the mission and strategic goals of the organization. Incrementally work to meet and improve quality outcomes of all program scopes.

Minimal Qualifications/Experience & Skills Master’s Level Degree is preferred. At least five years of experience of managing federal, state, city contracts. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple funding streams. Be a solution focused and critical thinker that can oversee federal, state and city contracts. Ability to use personal computer systems software; ability to analyze, appraise, and organize facts and precedents and to prepare written recommendations and make effective and responsible decisions; ability to work independently and be self-motivated; ability to train, supervise, and motivate employees; ability to compile clear, complete, and logical reports and correspondence; ability to recognize, investigate, and analyze a variety of legal and administrative problems and devise effective solutions; ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with others; ability to apply specialized knowledge to individual cases and problems; ability to work with a diverse workforce; ability to make sound decisions in accordance with CFR 42 regulations, McKinney Vento Act, policies and procedures of the organization; ability to organize and prioritize a variety of demands on time; and ability to speak publicly in an effective manner. Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance. Responsibilities:

Acts as liaison to appropriate levels of leadership with various external audiences regarding the promotion and enhancements of services and programs. Evaluate the progress of programs to meet established programs goals. Develops and revises specialized program plans for the review by the direct supervisor. Prepare monthly statistical reports and submit to direct supervisor data as it pertains to contractual requirements, revenue projects or loss, forecasting to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Review and assist housing program supervisors/managers with the development of standard operating procedures for new and expanding programs. Participate in the development and implementation of a variety of systems and procedures; prepare, maintain, and update manual and resource materials; review and determine priorities for the unit. Prepares narrative and/or statistical reports on work operations or special topics as assigned. Advise managers on deadlines, rules, regulations or related information, prepare and review budget; recommend personnel actions; assess staff performance; mentor/coach staff and provide direction and feedback; participate in team or work unit meetings; plan agendas for meetings; prepare technical reports. Identify corrective steps to address any unfavorable balance, or program corrective action for federal, state and city contracts. Assist in the development and execution of the organization strategic plan. Identify strategies to diversify the agency’s revenue growth. Actively participate in quality improvement efforts of the organization. Actively engage in appropriate housing and related committees and advisory boards. Complete the Annual Performance Reviews (APRS), Supportive Housing Providers Association, Department Amani House Quarterly Reports, and any other statistical reports required by grantors. Serve or attend Coalition of Council Meetings and AFC Supportive Housing Meetings. Assist with developing applications for funding opportunities and the renewals of existing grants.
