About the Position... The Central Operations Specialist I (COS I) is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities. The Central Operations Specialist I (COS I) is responsible for a variety of functions in the Central Operations Department, including CDARS, Reconciliations, Exception Items, Oasis Signature Verification Review, Stop Payment Review, Chargeback processing and other reports reviewed daily. The COS I works closely with the Central Operations Officer, the Central Operations Manager and the Director of Deposit Operations to learn the duties of the back-office, Central Operations functions. They provide support to branch personnel as well as assist in covering the duties of the front desk receptionist which includes processing incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ordering supplies and forms, processing long term storage requests and directing incoming calls and in-person visitors. The COS I will also assist the Central Operations and Wire/ACH departments with other duties as required. This position will perform all duties accurately, timely, efficiently and according to Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications About You... You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team environment. You also have the following: Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent. Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Back Office and Branch Operations.Knowledge of Deposit Related Compliance laws and regulations. Basic understanding of banking products and services. Experience Required: Minimum of 12 months' experience in banking operations. Skills/Abilities: Professional appearance, dress and attitude. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office software package. Ability to operate related computer hardware and other business equipment including adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, telephone, encoder and paper shredder.
