Electrical Control Engineer

position Towanda, PA with outstanding benefits. Our client develops, manufactures, and markets refractory metal powders such as tungsten, tungsten carbide, and cobalt.

Responsibilities: Provide support to Plant Operations Work closely within a team of engineers, designers and skilled craft workers of varying disciplines to facilitate Capital Equipment Installations, provide troubleshooting expertise for process control systems, as well as provide technical expertise and leadership to maintain and improve the reliability of the division’s power distribution system. Provide project management and engineering support for projects of varying magnitude (from routine parts replacement to large scale plant expansions). Meet with internal customers, lead projects through development including initial conceptualization, cost estimating and timeline development, equipment procurement and installation, start-up and debugging of equipment. Manage vendors to provide services ensuring that plant standards and best practices are followed. Be the internal subject matter resource for all electrical systems including PLC, HMI, drives, lighting, power distribution, motors, equipment troubleshooting, system integration, sensors, electro-mechanical devices, robotics, and instrumentation. Be able to interface with the maintenance electricians and electronic technicians to successfully install the various projects and lead the troubleshooting efforts. Provide input for the plant controls strategy, improving function, reliability of control and power systems Develop process and equipment understanding to support continuous improvement efforts Develop, maintain and document equipment and control systems changes Maintain records as required. (Project plans, schematics, drawings, spare parts, calibration logs, repair logs, etc.) Provide emergency support to manufacturing and maintenance when needed

Must Haves: B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering 4+ years’ work experience in an engineering or technical role Experience with Allen Bradley’s Logix 5000 and Micro 800 Family of PLCs and PACs Experience programming in RS Logix 5/500/5000 HMI development using Factory Talk View ME, Studio 5000 View Designer and SE or Wonderware Systems Platform Experience programming motor controls to include VFDs and Servo systems. Experience solving problems with electrical circuits, instrumentation, schematics and wiring diagrams Highly motivated, results oriented, customer focused, with a high commitment level Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred skills: Capital Expenditure Project Management experience preferred Sound problem solving skills and disciplined approach to making decisions Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal, and written skills Ability to deal with all levels of the organization Knowledge of various Industrial and Electrical standards such as NEC, NFPA, OSHA, ANSI, etc. Experience with flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH, and other process instrumentation installation, calibration, and troubleshooting Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, SAP, SAP PM, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
