Job Description:
The role of Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) Market Development Manager North America is to expand forward marketing in segments of strategic importance, implement marketing processes, manage the development pipeline and assist with strategy development.

Major Responsibilities:

Develops business opportunities in attractive segments by cultivating relationships down the value chain and translating customer insights into segment strategies and targets
Drives a marketing mindset in the region by establishing marketing processes (e.g. segmentation, go-to-market plans, value proposition development) and supporting customer-facing functions
Provides analyses of primary and secondary market research and competitive intelligence to support strategic direction
Manages regional development pipeline (the right development activities done the right way) and recommends appropriate allocation of resources
Coordinates MarComm activities for TPU (e.g. sales pitches, launches, press releases, trade shows) with BU Communications colleagues
Facilitates the strategy development process together with the regional TPU Head

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least six years of experience in a marketing- and/or sales-related function OR master's degree and at least four years of experience in a marketing- and/or sales-related function

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in thermoplastics application development and forward marketing
Bachelor's/master's degree in Business Administration or Marketing
Strong network in plastics industry

Influence and lead others indirectly (project team)
Ability to challenge status quo and embrace change
Fluent in marketing tools and strategy development
Ability to travel 20-40%
