ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for financial reporting, program/project control functions, and contract budgeting.
  • Works with financial analysts, project management, and contracts personnel to manage contract financial performance, planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Reconciles accounts receivable, compiles weekly and monthly financial progress reports supports audit data calls and supports month-end close.
  • Utilizes familiarity with financial management, budgeting, project control, financial reporting, and basic contract administration in a government services contract environment.
  • Ensures program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate.
  • Measures performance against established budgets and analyzes variances.
  • Carefully monitors program revenue and profit recognition to minimize risk to the entire organization and analyzes revenue and profit risks and opportunities continuously.
  • Performs financial duties such as preparing month-end revenue adjustments and accruals, reviewing hours and costs, establishing and managing projects in the accounting system, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintains project tracking spreadsheets and related documentation.
  • Monitors funding status, providing reliable and timely notification of funding status with line-item detail.
  • Prepares financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs.
  • Ensures contractual requirements are met, and Customer financial deliverables are accurate and timely.
  • Reviews and approves invoices for submission to customers, monitors billing status and unbilled issues, and works to resolve issues on time to manage DSO.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in project accounting support for government-based service contracts.
  • Detailed knowledge of government contracts and change order documents is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Costpoint (Project Module preferred) and Cognos preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Microsoft Office-Complete assigned tasks by using the full suite of Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.
  • Critical Thinking - Evaluate and interpret data, facts, and information to create unique and creative solutions and proposals.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Able to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with different people in varying fields and positions.
  • Teamwork-Collaborate with not only members of the Aleut Team but also with outside clients, customers, and contractors.
  • Attention to Detail - Able to accomplish or complete tasks while demonstrating a thorough concern for all aspects involved, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.
  • Organizational Proficiency-Plan, prioritize, and achieve goals to maximize the impact of the Subcontracts Administrator role.
  • Flexibility/Adaptability - Able to reprioritize and adjust to disruptions to the best-laid plans of mice and men.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The working conditions for this position may include the following:
  • Working indoors in an office or home office environment.
  • This is a hybrid position where the work can be performed both remotely and onsite according to business needs.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening.
Salary Range $60K-$65K
