A rapidly growing Medical Device company founded in 2008 that develops, manufactures and markets Trauma & Orthopedics products and services is seeking a Director, Medical Education & Training for its FL location.
The Director, Medical Education & Training plans, develops, coordinates, and executes internal and external clinical training curriculums to support medical education, customers, sales, product marketers and field support personnel. The Director, Medical Education & Training will be reporting to the Vice President Medical Education & Sales Training
Key Duties, Activities and Responsibilities:
• Ensures Clinical Training Program (s), material (s) and directions offered are grounded in up-to-date techniques and practice. Maintains communication with surgeons, customers, Area Vice Presidents, and Field Marketing Managers to ensure the effectiveness of training.
• When their technical expertise is needed, collaborate with Field Marketing Managers to execute programs
• Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and keep technical information current.
• Collaborate with the Field Marketing Manager team and complete targeted activities
• Develop and deliver insightful and educational presentations on company’s products and services.
• Create and manage a U.S/International Surgeon education database.
• Assist the AVPs in the planning, coordination, and execution of local educational and sales events that will augment the business and help achieve budgeted sales goals
• Global Education/Training Metrics Managements and reports creation and maintenance.
Educational Activities
• Answer a wide range of questions concerning surgical applications, product knowledge, and clinical techniques.
• Demonstrate expert company instrument and implant knowledge as well as competitive product expertise.
• Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel, including OR staff, on the principles of company products and procedures.
Knowledge & Skills
Work Experience, Skills and Education Desired:
• BS/BA Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum five years of sales or education experience in an orthopedic medical device or recon and/or trauma
• Documented record of achievement in a sales representative or sales education position, including building territories from zero and opening new accounts
• Significant, demonstrable market intelligence, product knowledge and clinical expertise
• Ability to work with and coordinate with other departments/personnel in a collaborative and solutions-oriented manner
• A team-oriented “do-er” who gets things done personally if needed
• Instills a sense of urgency to meet deadlines, sets high expectations, and holds self and others accountable for the expected results

Travel Requirements
• Approximately 60-70% travel expected
