Perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain resort establishments in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming. Provide the very best service to ensure that owners and guests have a positive vacation experience.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.Replenish supplies, such as drinking gasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.Dust and polish furniture and equipment.Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses.Hang draperies and dust window blinds.Request repair services and wait for repair workers to arrive.Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets.Run errands, such as taking laundry to the cleaners.Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas.Deliver television sets, ironing boards, baby cribs, and rollaway beds to guests' rooms.Replace light bulbs.Answer telephones and doorbells.SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Be punctual and comply with hourly work schedules.Present a professional image and wear proper uniform (Sun Shirt, Tan or Khaki Pants, Name Tag, Non-slip Shoes)Assist guests and owners and resolve complaints promptly.Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of van.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
