POSITION OBJECTIVE Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for reconciling various general ledger accounts, credit card accounts as well as EOY Tax Preparation. In addition, you will have the opportunity to assist in the calculation of monthly Sales Commissions, reviewing payables for accuracy, as well as supporting Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, RMAs, Invoicing and Transaction research. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Monthly calculation of sales staff commissions and interpret results Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions for three accounts Review accounts payable along with approving check run Maintain accurate accounting records for our Florida Location Review and approve monthly accounting records for our Ohio Location Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts Review and assist with Income Statement preparation as needed Accounts Receivable Collections Ongoing backup support for A/R, A/P, RMA’s, Invoicing and transaction research Year End preparation including property tax, real estate tax, & support for public accountants Maintain Company depreciation records in secondary software Monitors transactions for the Company Field management inquiries while supporting the general ledger Performs other duties as requested POSITION REQUIREMENTS Documentation, reporting, organization, data-entry, telephone skills, customer relations, listening and verbal/written communication, multi-tasking, mid-level computing skills with PC and windows, dependability and emotional control. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and regular attendance. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or - 5+ years of cost accounting/financial reporting experience - Manufacturing experience preferred Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general communication and web instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, sales representatives, clients and production staff. Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn and utilize company specific accounting software/ERP. Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
