Staff Accountant

Role Responsibilities - Staff Accountant:

  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining the company's financial records and performing other accounting functions as required
  • Prepare journal entries, monthly balance sheets, income statements, profit and loss statements and inventory reports
  • Maintain the general ledger- coding invoices, setting up new accounts, reconciling accounts to close the monthly books, reconciling cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts
  • Verify payments of invoices associated with AP and ensuring payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
  • Gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual or any other audits
  • Provide support to assistant manager and general manager as needed

Preferred Qualifications - Staff Accountant:

  • BA in Accounting or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional setting
  • detail oriented individual with the desire to learn
  • Tech savvy individual- experienced in excel
  • knowledge of an ERP system- SAP is a huge plus
