Candidates REQUIRED to have:
Professional experience manipulating healthcare claims datasets with SAS, SQL, STATA, or SPSS. You will not be considered without this requirement.
Candidates should have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferable in a healthcare, economic, or mathematics related field
At least 7 years of professional experience with at least 5 of which working in SAS, SQL, or other relevant programming experience
Extensive experience working with health care datasets and performing quantitative research
Strong skills and experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Excellent oral and written communication skills
What position will be doing:
Perform healthcare claims-based analytics for clients (pharmaceutical industry, medical device manufacturers, and national stakeholders). Analytics will include: health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), market basket assessment of diseases or treatment usage, , and similar studies.
Designing and executing analyses in Medicare and Medicaid healthcare claims
Lead in the development and production of deliverables (Excel workbooks and PowerPoint decks) as well as communicating results to the client.
Manage data analysts and assist in the QA of programs and analyses
An ideal candidate may also have:
Experience working in health care consulting, pharmaceutical/device manufacturer, or for a government agency
Experience working in HEOR, value and economics outcomes research (VEOR), or real world evidence (RWE) claims experience
Understanding of health care policy issues in Medicare and/or Medicaid
Experience writing about health care policies and policy analysis
Experience reading healthcare regulations and interpreting policies
Experience working with data offered in the CMS’ Chronic Condition Warehouse
Experience working in the Virtual Research Data Center (VRDC) offered by CCW
Experience working with data in Medicare Standard Analytic Files (SAF), Research Identifiable Files (RIF), or Medicaid T-MSIS data
