The Mechatronics Reliability Engineer will be responsible for investigating and problem-solving plant reliability issues utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) techniques and principles while ensuring accurate and transparent data availability with the Saint-Gobain data warehouse interface to support WCM activities.
- Implement MES software, support and maintain automation projects using Management of Change.
- Explore and lead new technologies for enhancements/improvements in technology usage in the manufacturing areas while being responsible for developing control systems for industrial machinery, including selecting suitable control hardware, generating schematics, fabricating control electronics, and developing machine code and user interfaces for PLC and PC based systems and provide leadership in the
- Partner with Engineering, Configuration Management, and Manufacturing to elicit, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Support plant process modifications for CBI operations as required.
What do you bring?
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Electrical (strongly preferred)
- 3+ years' experience as a Reliability Engineer or similar (preferred)
- 3+ years' experience repairing and troubleshooting PLC and electrical equipment (Siemens and AB preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency highly preferred
- Professional experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
- Experience with P&ID, Equipment Layout Drawings, design optimization & troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement toolsets.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Flexible and open-minded with good written and oral communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with a CMMS (SAP Preferred).
