In collaboration with the Associate Director of Prospect Development and Stewardship, ensure timely wealth screening of outpatients, identification of wealthy and high-philanthropic-potential prospects, and distribution of regular outpatient reports to develop and maintain a steady pipeline of new grateful patient prospects for the entire Major Gifts Team. ·

Serve as Development staff liaison to one or more outpatient sites for purposes of grateful patient strategy and coordination. ·

Following leads generated through Spaulding’s strategic grateful patient fundraising program, partner with key clinicians to identify and cultivate grateful patients (both outpatient and inpatient, as assigned) who are interested in and capable of making a major and/or planned gift. ·

Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to a variety of audiences to increase awareness of the grateful patient fundraising program. ·

Coordinate the training and educational initiatives of the grateful patient fundraising program across the system. ·

Collaborate with Development Communications Team to develop materials for the grateful patient fundraising program, especially for increasing the visibility of the program. Donor Recognition Society Coordination: With the guidance of the Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts, oversee the overall strategy of both The President’s Council (annual donors of $20,000 or more) and The Francis “Hooks” Burr Society (planned gift and bequest donors). To that end, the SMGO would collaborate closely with the Events Team (which plans and executes events) and the Communications Team (which develops, designs, and produces print and on-line collateral).
