Your Impact:

Work on-site full-time at the customer site to perform network security appliance cutovers

Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, peers, engineering, and support teams as necessary

Configure, implement, and maintain Security Operating Platforms

Optimize and migrate policies and objects from the existing environment to our Next-Gen Firewall

Test and validate the migration environment to ensure seamless transitions

Coordinate and execute cutovers to production while guiding code upgrades

Facilitate the development of new application and threat signatures

Interact with our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to understand and diagnose support cases

Occasionally travel based on customer requests

Collaborate with the customers security and network teams to instill confidence across impacted business units during Palo Alto Networks implementation

Implement network segment controls aligning with NIST and RMF frameworks

Validate and implement proof of concepts in lab environments

Provide technical implementation and strategy support to the customer, effectively communicating engineering details to C-suite executives

Your Experience:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience or equivalent military experience required

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with network and security solutions and technologies, including routing and switching, security operations, virtual machines, and hypervisors

Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining security solutions in large-scale production environments

Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, specifically with Palo Alto Networks® products

Proficient in troubleshooting network issues across LAN and WAN

Experience with cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, or Azure is beneficial

Certifications

Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA/P, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC, and/or PCNSA/E are required

Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant Certification (Sec+, CCNA Security, CASP+, CISSP, etc.)

Key Competencies

Strong verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a customer-facing environment

Excellent written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior leaders and technical peers

Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work calmly under high-pressure situations

Project leadership experience with the ability to drive organizations and resources to complete required tasks in service of end goals
