Directly reports to the Construction Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Provide strategic leadership in the planning and execution of field operations, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.
    • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for the telecom construction department.
  • Project Oversight:
    • Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with project plans, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
    • Collaborate with project managers to optimize project delivery and resource allocation.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance:
    • Set and enforce the highest standards for safety and quality in all construction activities.
    • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and quality assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor construction supervisors and crews, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide guidance on complex technical issues and mentorship in professional development.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong relationships and understanding client expectations.
    • Collaborate with business development teams to identify opportunities for growth and client satisfaction.
  • Problem Resolution and Decision-Making:
    • Address complex challenges that may arise during construction projects, making strategic decisions to keep projects on track.
    • Provide expert guidance in resolving technical, logistical, and operational issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Oversee the maintenance of accurate records of work performed, including detailed project documentation, reports, and incident logs.
    • Provide comprehensive reports to executive leadership on project status and performance.
  • Resource Management:
    • Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and project success.
    • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in construction processes, workflows, and methodologies.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating best practices into operations.
Skills/ Requirements
  • Extensive experience within the telecom construction industry, demonstrating a track record of successful project oversight.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecom construction methods, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in advanced project management software and tools.
  • Proven ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various work sites.
