The

Senior Accountant

role is suited for the individual seeking opportunity for growth and development. To be successful in this role, this person should possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. An ideal candidate for this role should have excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and the ability to create and maintain a team-oriented environment. The

Senior Accountant

should also possess the ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements and meet timeliness in completing assignments with deadlines and due dates and have strong integrity and ethics.This position is responsible for account reconciliations, general ledger management, fixed asset management, balance sheet preparation and maintenance. Must be a self-motivated, reliable individual interested in joining our rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities Assist in managing the month-end close process Support monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances Assist in maintaining the general ledger Responsible for preparing sales tax work papers and submissions monthly Participate in financial planning and budgeting Create ad hoc reports based on the accounting software as requested Assist in special projects as requested Responding to information requests and assisting with audits Ability to handle all confidential or proprietary information with proper consideration of ethical and legal ramifications

Qualifications

degree in Accounting or Finance years of senior level accounting experience with accounting and finance principles and procedures organizational and analytical skills and the ability to multi-task knowledge and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Sage 300 and/or Adaptive is a plus communication skills, both written and verbal safeguard company information by observing company security regulations a catalyst for continuous improvement by making recommendations based on empirical data and business experience
