Position Summary The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the designing, development, and testing of all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Responsibilities Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. May be involved in fabrications, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Will be involved in developing military drawing to include Technical Data Packages and Installation Requirements Drawing Packages. Has knowledge of working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Has knowledge working with government data programs such as CMPRO or METIS. Other Duties as assigned. Experience 8-10 years of experience in the field working with CAD or SolidWorks drawing programs Qualifications and Educational Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or in lieu of degree 10+ years of experience working in engineering field This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment. U.S. Citizenship is required. Preferred 8-10 years' experience developing Technical Data Packages and/or Installation Requirements Drawing packages.
