Mature couple looking to hire an Experienced Housekeeper to join their team in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania- home is on a working farm.

The Ideal Candidate: Housekeeping for large home in Lafayette Hill that is second residence for retired couple. They reside in FL and spend summers in Nantucket and use this home when not at either of other two locations. They are typically in this home during the months of October-December and April-May. There is 1 adult child who lives on the property year round. Dusting, vacuuming, polishing silver, maintaining antiques and rugs. Helping principals unpack and light serving when they are in residence, getting dry cleaning sent out, laundry/ironing, caring for dogs. Occasional travel to Nantucket to help when they are there (in 10 years the previous housekeeper went there 3 times).

What Works Best for Family: The family has high expectations and had their last two housekeepers for about 10 years. Staff should have a positive, can-do, professional attitude, be well spoken and know the family well enough to anticipate needs and be proactive.

Requested Duration: As long as possible

About the Family

Adults:2
Dogs:3 pugs
Current Staff: We manage three households with household staff including, chefs, landscapers, caretakers, housekeepers and nannies. Current housekeeper dedicated to home in PA is retiring.

Position Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping: Full Housekeeping Required- second housekeeper is working when family is in residence
  • Cooking: No Cooking Required
  • Laundry: Family Laundry
  • Ironing: Required
  • Errands: Dry Cleaners; Post Office,Etc.
  • Driving: Car Available for Position
  • Travel: Domestic Travel Required
Position Requirements
  • Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM- Monday-Friday occasional night or weekend if family is entertaining
  • Languages: English
  • Experience: Years of Experience
  • References: Minimum of 2 References
  • Background: Stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire
  • Personality Traits: someone who is experienced in a large home with antiques, silver, etc; excellent laundering skills, works well with others, knows how to read a room
Position Compensation
  • Salary: $40 per hour- DOE negotiable
  • Living Accommodations: Live Out
  • Vacation: 2 weeks
  • Health Insurance: Yes
  • Additional Benefits: 6 holidays paid, 3 sick days, 401k after 1 year
