Candidate will be in a distribution center in Auburn that transports a variety of products (ATV's , Gas , Food , Beverage) to Alaska throughout the year.
Looking for Warehouse candidates with at least 1-2 years of sit down forklift experience. Someone who is detail oriented and read bill of ladings and transport materials to the right trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Must be open to some heavy lifting up to 75lbs for there heaviest materials such as carpets which they will team lift for.
Location: Auburn, WA
Starting Pay: $22.00 Hourly
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday
Work Environment
The Warehouse is extremely clean and organized. They have a live loading dock area and a secondary loading dock area for reserve materials. Candidates will start in the secondary loading dock area with a lead for a month showing them there processes. Then they will be moved to the live loading dock area once they think someone is ready. There are about 30-40 forklifts in the building and people are moving at a fast pace picking orders so must focus on safety and look out for others at all times can't be careless on the floor. Warehouse has receiving doors on both sides of building that lines walls. During winter it is cold and summer it is hot.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Load and unload freight from/to all types of vehicles.
  • Attach tags or marking freight with appropriate identifying information.
  • Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas/yard.
  • Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work order.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork properly.
  • Assist customers (over phone and face-to-face) regarding freight in a polite and professional manner.
  • Record numbers of units handled or moved.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Warehouse cleanup.
  • Consistently follow all safety procedures.
  • Minor vehicle/equipment inspection, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Assist other coworkers and departments as requested.
  • Loading and securing flats.
  • Ensuring loads are compliant with water restriction requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move up to 200 pounds utilizing proper moving equipment
  • Ability to independently move up to 75 pounds consistently
  • Ability to user proper lifting techniques when needed
  • Must be able to operate all equipment in a warehouse which may include grasping, climbing, bending, handling, reaching, hand dexterity, feeling/touching and repetitive motions of the hands and feet.
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong body coordination and equilibrium.
