LPN Clinic Opening

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Clinic Site works in a remote clinic location to serve a specific population's nursing needs. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in providing safe, quality patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements
Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the Clinic policies and patient care outcome standard
Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment
Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education
Documents patients response to nursing and other interventions
Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment
Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the chosen facility
Administers vaccines or any necessary medications
Makes follow-up phone calls to the patients
Inputs information into the computer
Helps stock and maintain the cleanliness of the facility
Minimum Requirements:
Current Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse License
One year experience as an LPN/LVN preferred
One year experience in a clinic setting preferred
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
