Amentum is seeking an experienced logistics professional to join our team and help support our customer in Groton, Connecticut. As a Supply Technician
you will perform all aspects of Submarine Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) of submarine new construction processes, to include the following essential tasks.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform inventory management, cataloging, warehouse management, material coordination, data entry, and property controlin support of various supply activities and/or equipment installations.
Assist technicians with equipment removal/installations during the submarine new construction process.
Create, complete and verify receiving/shipping documentation, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages.
Provide logistic deck plate support to removal/installation team leads.
Store, stack and palletize heavy, sensitive and controlled government electronic equipment within the mandated safety
regulations.
Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examiningmaterials, article inspections, etc.
Responsible for inventory management of decentralized controlled items, including supplies and equipment.
Generate and submit configuration files in support of submarine new construction processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret USGovernment Clearance.
Five (5) years of experience, to include: supervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility; financialmanagement; logistics support for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering,acquisition, distribution of material, equipment and resources.
High School Diploma or GED.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to obtain a Class B CDL license within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Class B CDL license.
Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $31.54+ (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
