Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician As a Maintenance Technician, you will work independently to repair, troubleshoot, and diagnose maintenance issues on various plastics manufacturing machines. Your role will encompass electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work, including fabricating equipment or parts using tools like welders and cutting torches. Responsibilities Repair and troubleshoot maintenance problems on plastics manufacturing machines. Perform electrical work such as wiring machines, checking voltage and faults, and troubleshooting photo eyes/lasers. Conduct mechanical tasks including replacing and repacking bearings, swapping out pumps and motors, and metal working. Handle hydraulic and pneumatic duties like changing and rebuilding cylinders, replacing seals, and solenoids. Use a laptop similar to a code reader to diagnose machine faults. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance. Proficiency in diagnosing machine faults using technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with food-grade equipment maintenance. Skill in fabricating equipment or parts using shop tools. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large manufacturing facility located in the north industrial park in Fargo. The environment is consistently loud and can be dusty. There are approximately 20 people per shift. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs. Shifts are rotating with a schedule of 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM, including alternating days off. Initial training occurs during day shifts from 7 AM to 4 PM before transitioning to assigned shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, MN. The pay range for this position is $30.00/hr.
