Schneider Downs is seeking an experienced finance leader to lead our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. The successful candidate is someone who will be a proactive business partner with the leadership team and the CFO, to provide proactive, deep analysis, insights, and planning processes to enhance business decision making and enable the achievement of desired financial results.The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis role is newly created due to the growth of the firm and will have input into the long-term development and vision for this function within the firm.

As the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis , you will be responsible for…
Business partner with the leadership team and functional areas to provide analysis and decision support to enable the achievement of firm goals and financial objectives
Lead the annual planning process, including the establishment of planning processes, tools, approach and partnership with leadership on the execution of the annual budget
Responsible for maintaining the financial and cash flow forecast for the firm, partnering with business leaders on regular updates and summary presentations to the leadership team
Maintain the firm’s long-term financial model, updating and creating various scenario options
Provide leadership and oversite of the firm’s operational reporting processes and tools, including understanding business objectives/goals and ensuring information is available in an easy to consume format by the right people to enable quicker business decisions
Support the CFO and leadership team in the evaluation of investments and strategic resource allocation opportunities, including M&A diligence and integration
Support the CFO and leadership team in the preparation of regular shareholder, board, and firm meeting materials
Support the CFO and leadership with development of strategic planning, including the cascade of action steps and financial objectives
Lead ROI analysis on major investments, including establishing processes for routine follow-up evaluation
Develop and participate in financial acumen training for professional service staff
As the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis , you will have…
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance with meaningful experience in FP&A management is required
Past, proven financial planning and analysis experience, including successfully executing most if not all of the responsibilities above
Preferred :
CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred but not required
Other :
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to succinctly and efficiently communicate complex topics
Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrated by identifying, understanding and coming with practical resolutions to business problems
Experience with advanced business intelligence and information reporting tools
Understands the details, but able to operate and summarize information at a high level to provide leadership with the right information needed to make quick decisions.
Strategic business mindset with the ability to think ahead about potential risks, opportunities and having the ability to understand or estimate financial and operational impacts
Highly collaborative with a hunger to learn
