Reports to : Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis

Purpose:

The Senior Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a crucial role in our finance team. In this role, the Senior Analyst supports the financial planning and analysis activities and ensures alignment with our strategic objectives. This position conducts financial analysis, developing financial models, and providing valuable insights to aid in effective decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Assists in the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Creates comprehensive financial presentations that provide thoughtful financial insights to key stakeholders of the business. Manages team performance objectives and long-term project plan. Develops and maintains financial models and tools to support business performance and decision-making. Identifies and drives continuous process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis. Conducts comprehensive financial analysis, identify trends, and provides strategic insights to senior management. Collaborates with various teams, including controlling, accounting, and other functional departments, to gather, validate, and analyze financial data. Prepares regular and ad-hoc financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders. Monitors key financial metrics, proactively identifies areas of concern, and recommends appropriate actions. Develops a deep understanding of business drivers at both the product and overall enterprise levels. Plays a key role in supporting growth and value-maximizing initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or similar role. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, summarize and present actionable insights. Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools, such as Excel. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to summarize financial data and insights into presentations for senior management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA, CPA, or CFA. Experience within the healthcare field, including specialty pharmacy, health system, or health insurance. Experience in financial due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, or integration planning. Experience in “Big 4” accounting firm or equivalent environment.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
