Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: South Plainfield, NJ

Pay: $20+

Job Description: The Customer Service Representative/Sales Liaison will provide exceptional customer service by communicating with customers and/or sales staff and following through on every aspect of the order process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive customer orders, coordinate all purchase order details, enter orders, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Arrange freight through TMS.
  • Process orders and paperwork for shipping, and communicate with the warehouse regarding shipping requirements.
  • Ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
  • Answer inquiries such as tracking, Certificates of Analysis, shipments, credits, scheduling, cancellations, adjustments, warehousing, and any other information pertaining to orders.
  • Maintain contracts by inputting them into the database and working with Product Managers and Salespersons to manage release dates for products.
  • Assist assigned sales staff to help exceed customer needs as necessary.
  • Answer inbound calls.
  • Maintain outstanding customer relationships with all customers.
  • Perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a product-based environment (open to call center experience with A-Z assistance).
  • High school diploma/GED required; a degree is preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Word and Excel; experience in an ERP system preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, and use decimals.
Additional Details:
  • Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday, fully onsite.
  • 3-6 month contract.
