WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a curious and creative engineer with a passion for learning and pushing the limits of what's possible. As a Cushioning Engineer Lead, you will develop new performance based cushioning systems that result in growth opportunities and competitive advantages in the marketplace by collaborating with cross functional teams. You will demonstrate strong problem solving skills through an ability to deliver multiple innovative solutions to complex problems. This is a hands-on role that enables the development of new methods of make while supporting research and development of product innovations in our established manufacturing methods.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Through collaboration with designers, researchers, developers and other engineers you will contribute to the performance, aesthetic and manufacturability of new innovations. You will use plastics processing, prototyping skills, engineering knowledge, and hands on experience to design, refine and carefully document part and tool designs to create innovative new products.

  • Highly proficient in plastics process engineering. Advanced analytical and design of experiment skills preferred
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelors in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, including 5+ years' experience in mechanical design or engineering, or related field, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • A demonstrated portfolio of work, with clear examples of engineering design and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge and experience in a variety of plastics manufacturing processes (injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding) and secondary operations (automation, assembly, joining)
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organization skills
  • Systematic and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use manual tools
  • Experience managing internal and external vendors
  • Footwear experience a plus
