POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Senior Training Specialist’s responsibility is to promote efficiency and competitive advantage by developing the skills and knowledge of employees within our Solar Energy Division. The primary focus for this position is to make an impact on our field-based employees and support our ‘Field First’ rally cry. This position therefore requires extensive travel to Field Project Sites; up to 75%. You will provide complete training to share your trainer/educator expertise in ways that motivate others. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Design
Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions for both instructor-led and E-learning trainings, including but not limited to on-the-job training, soft skills training, leadership training.
Design effective training programs using industry models (ex: ADDIE, SAM model).
Design training to address all learning levels and styles within the company.
Development Production
Prepare training material such as module summaries, videos etc.
Prepare training eLearning modules using eLearning software (ex: Adobe Articulate, Adobe Rise, Camtasia, etc.).
Design & Develop Instructor Led Training classes (ILT).
Implementation and Delivery
Coordinate logistics for training delivery sessions (ex: rooms, materials, learning audience, etc.).
Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions, etc.
Support and mentor new employees.
Keep attendance and other records.
Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement.
Demonstrate leadership skills to influence others.
Design tracking process for all supported programs.
Monitor employee performance and response to training.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience as corporate trainer.
Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching.
Training for construction, engineering or architectural organization is preferred.
Strong computer skills, strong proficiency in MSOffice (especially PowerPoint) and eLearning development software.
Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Self-directed, motivated individual contributor willing to learn new skills when necessary.
Must be engaging and demonstrate strong professional presence.
Must have great attitude in working with the Moss team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must have 5-7 years’ experience as Senior Trainer.
BS/BA in business, HR, finance or relevant field or equivalent is highly preferred.
Certification (e.g., CPLP or ASTD) is a plus.
