Position Overview:
Performs installing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of personal computers and related systems. Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems related to personal (desktop or laptop) computers. May assist the IT Director, we are looking for candidates
who have great troubleshooting experience, manufacturing experience, and IT if possible.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installs and sustains hardware and software at industry standards
- Assesses and troubleshoots individual problems, via the phone, in person, or online, associated with network infrastructure and desktop systems software and hardware
- Proposes hardware and software solutions, including upgrades
- Ensures seamless interconnectivity of diverse systems
- Controls file system security, permissions, rights, and user account information
- Assists with inventory management of all software and hardware
- Develops and maintains documentation of procedures, installation sequences, standards, configurations, and settings
- This role will provide remote support to all TYR sites
- Interact with TYR staff, clients, and service desk technicians via a variety of mediums (phone, email, ticketing system, Teams, in-person, text, etc.)
- To gain an understanding of issues, share information, and provide needed assistance to achieve high-quality results
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of TYR IT infrastructure & Knowledge Base/Helpdesk
- Strong understanding and demonstrated business-level support for Microsoft-related technologies (Windows 10 & 11, Office Suite, O365, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting, Workstation, Desktops, Laptop, Tablets and Handheld Devices
- Familiar with RMM Systems and Windows Patch Management Cycles
- Networking Basic Fundamentals is a big plus
- Experience with Voice over IP systems
- Experience with Wi-Fi Devices
- Excellent customer service, positive attitude, and professional demeanor
- Ability to communicate technical or complex concepts in a simple, straightforward manner
- Candidates must pass a background check
- High School Diploma or College degree in the field of Computer Science and/or 1-year equivalent work experience
- CompTIA ITF+ and/or CompTIA A+ is a big plus
