Job Summary

With general direction, research, designs, develops and implements computer network security/protection technologies for company information and network systems/applications. Develops, implements, and maintains complex network and firewall security plans and configurations.

Responsibilities

Performs security assessments and evaluates new technology.

Provides security analysis and support on complex systems for monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, reporting, implementing, installing, and upgrading core infrastructure hardware and software Battelle's infrastructure.

Provides advanced technical expertise, consulting, and support to staff members with security tasks. Recommends appropriate actions to improve project security and designs new monitoring strategies for complex securing systems.

Interfaces with other Battelle teams to design, implement, install, and upgrade secure systems.

Engages external vendors when needed to resolve complex problems or bugs.

Acts as a key member of the security or compliance Team by providing monitoring, investigation, and ongoing support to help maintain a high level of availability of secure systems.

Key Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems; five years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
