Financial Reporting Manager
The Financial Reporting Manager ensures the accurate financial consolidation and the coordination and compilation of the Company's consolidated financial statements, along with other periodic financial filings. This role primarily involves researching technical accounting questions and supporting the Controller group in managing the Company's accounting policies to maintain a comprehensive accounting function.
Responsibilities
Lead the consolidation process, including compiling the consolidated balance sheets and income statements.
Prepare annual financial statements and footnote disclosures for the business entities as required.
Conduct accounting research to determine the appropriate financial accounting treatment for significant and/or unusual transactions related to acquisitions, leases, and equity transactions, including share-based payments.
Perform stock compensation account reconciliations for review and approval, and manage the accounting for stock-based compensation.
Draft and manage accounting policies for various areas, including providing implementation guidance and examples.
Act as the resident technical expert, providing accounting guidance for transactions considered and executed by executive management.
Review and monitor internal controls, including conducting Internal Audit reviews.
Assist in the integration of new businesses into the organizational structure.
Provide financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions and other ad-hoc financial projects, including assisting with purchase accounting as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
CPA or CPA candidate.
5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry.
In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and external reporting processes.
Demonstrated technical accounting proficiency, with a proven ability to review, research, and interpret new accounting standards.
