The Rental Sales Representative schedules compact equipment rentals, coordinates equipment pick-ups and deliveries, and assists customers in purchasing the proper equipment for their application.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rents compact equipment to the customer by describing available options, finding the best equipment for their projects, computing cost, and accepting payment
- Receives, examines, and tags equipment to be repaired, cleaned, and/or stored
- Prepares rental forms, obtains customer signature, and other information, such as required licenses
- Reserves items for requested time and keeps record of equipment that is rented
- Coordinates pick-up and delivery of equipment, when necessary
- Assists walk-in customers with selecting the best equipment for their needs
- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations
- Develops accounts by checking customers buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features
- Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends to identify sales opportunities
- Visit customer sites to evaluate needs and to promote products, rentals, and services
- Assists internet sales with the completion of prior coordinated sales at their location, as needed.
knowledge, education and/or experience:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- In-depth understanding of Company services and its position in the compact/agricultural equipment industry
- Proven Inside Sales experience
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close

- Ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers

working conditions:
- This job operates in a parts store/repair/machinery shop environment
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
