ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Miami Design District Store- Cafe

Status: Part-Time and/or Full-Time

Compensation: $15.00/hr + Tip(s) eligibility

Position Summary: The Kith- Sadelle's Barista is an essential partner in the guest's dining experience. They will have an immediate impact on the overall experience, by not only directly servicing any guest(s) sitting around the bar area, but by also creating beverages that exceed all expectations. Using their bartending experience, they will execute all menu items, including but not limited to alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The Barista will continuously partner with all Front of House, Back of House, and Management teams, to ensure a seamless dining experience for all our guests. The Barista will not only become an expert on all in-house beverage options, but they will also familiarize themselves with all menu items, to address any guest inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Welcomes all guests and informs them of any specials, new menu items, while answering any questions they may have.
  • Preparing all ingredients required for all beverage options on the menu, including but not limited to coffee(s), tea(s), juices, alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sterilized countertop and bar area.
  • Serve any guest(s) sitting around the bar/countertop area, while preparing all beverage orders placed by the Front of House team.
  • Remain educated on all food and beverage offerings on our menu, including individual ingredients to ensure potential allergens are communicated with all guests.
  • Continuously manage and maintain physical inventories of all beverage options as well as required ingredients, to prevent any possible sell-through.
  • Immediately address any customer issues, questions, and overall comments. They will properly partner with the Management team to address any matters that they are unable to resolve on their own for the guest(s).
  • Effectively communicate any inventory needs, maintenance issues or overall concerns with the Management team.
Special Projects/Tasks:
  • Assist with the planning and execution of any on/off-site events, including but not limited to pop-up events, private guest's events held outside of normal business hours.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized caf, by completing any standard cleaning procedures commonly associated with a food & beverage outpost.
REQUIREMENTS

Certificates/Licenses:
  • Valid Florida Alcohol Certificate is preferred but not required.
  • Valid Food Handler/ServSafe Certificate/License is preferred but not required.
Experience:
  • 2+ years in the Food & Beverage industry
  • 1+ year(s) of Bartending experience
  • 2+ years in a high-volume customer facing role
  • 1+ years processing cash and card transactions through a POS system
Skills & Abilities:
  • Multi-tasking while maintaining an upbeat and professional demeanor
  • Standing/Walking for prolonged periods of time
  • Lifting or moving up to 30 pounds
  • Bending, twisting as well as climbing of ladders and other physical tasks related to standard retail and food & beverage operations
