Job Title: Press Assistant

Job Description

Vestcom prints labels for grocery stores such as CVS, Kroger, Dillons, Target, Dollar Tree, Walgreens, and Ulta. Vestcom was recently acquired, leading to an enhanced benefits package and expansion opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the press operator with general labor tasks.
  • Stand at the end of the press and catch materials.
  • Check the quality of the products.
  • Box and palletize the finished products.
  • Potential to grow into a press operator through a training program.
Essential Skills
  • General production worker experience.
  • Packaging and general labor skills.
  • Experience in machine operation.
  • Inspection, banding, boxing, and assembly line experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ months of verified work experience.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and pursue career advancements.
  • Candidates with English as a second language, including Spanish speakers, are welcome.

Work Environment

The environment is very clean and climate-controlled. The production area is loud with a slight ink smell. Each shift has 15-20 people. Composite-toed or steel-toed shoes are required for interviews and shifts. Shift options include: 1st Shift: Mon - Thurs 6 am - 4:30 pm, 2nd Shift: Mon - Wed 6 pm - 6 am and Thurs 6 pm - midnight, 3rd Shift: Fri - Sun 6 am - 6 pm.
