About the Role:
As a Junior Accountant at our organization, you will be an integral part of our finance team, gaining valuable experience in various accounting functions. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. The Junior Accountant will be exposed to fundamental accounting tasks and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Maintenance:
- Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records, including data entry and reconciliation tasks.
- Learn and apply basic accounting principles to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment verification, and collections assistance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports and statements.
- Contribute to financial analyses to support decision-making.
- Learn and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations relevant to accounting.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Utilize accounting software and tools for data entry and basic financial tasks.
- Learn and navigate relevant financial systems to support daily operations.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining financial documents.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop accounting skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
